Due to his small size, Mervin would do best in a home with smaller dogs who won't risk stepping on him or playing too rough, and in typical Chihuahua fashion he knows how to establish his boundaries. Just wait until you see Mervin do his morning stretches, where he crosses his paws in down dog position and then struts about the house like the little king he is. Mervin would do great in a quiet home and does prefer the company of women.
