For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I take my time to warm up to new people; the shelter has been a bit of a challenge for me! Imagine if you had to uproot your life and move somewhere new. That is why I prefer to have my own space to come out of my shell and shine. I would much prefer exploring to cuddling, as I feel that I am quite independent. I have also lived with other cats and might come around with a buddy. If I seem like a good fit for your place, please take me home!
My adoption fee is $50

Each adoption consists of an interview, application, counseling session, and adoption contract. All adoptions are handled on a case-by-case basis, but most adoptions are first-come, first-served, and holds cannot be placed in advance for someone to meet with an animal. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Please see http://www.nevadahumanesociety.org/ for more information including all currently available animals, adoption prices, resources, and events.
