My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The "B" boys – three brothers – were found at the site of the future QT station in Locust. Fearing for their lives, they were scooped up and put into foster care with an SCHS volunteer. There, they were exposed to other cats and big dogs, and had so much fun. Due to a heavier load of intestinal parasites than was realized, these brothers are small for their age. They are hardy eaters and will catch up in time.  BEATTY is a medium-haired ball of fun. He loves to run and play. He's very social and confident but not much of a snuggler at this point. He'd do well with a playful cat buddy. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pet!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

An adoption donation is usually between $75 and $200 for our little lovelies. This includes all basic vet work such as immunizations, altering, and heartworm and leukemia tests. We reserve the right to be very picky with our pets as some of them are very small and sometimes fragile. We usually do not place small dogs or kittens in a home with children under the age of 5, however, we do take the individual circumstances and the individual pet into consideration. An Adoption Application must be completed and if approved, an Adoption Contract is required for final approval to adopt.

Go meet their pets

We recently opened an Adoption Center in Albemarle which serves as a location for record keeping and to kennel a limited number of cats. The Adoption Center is located at 650 Hwy 24/27 Bypass East. Pets are brought to this location for viewing on alternate Saturdays for our Adopt-A-Thons. Pets may also be met by appointment with the foster family.

Our goal is for both the pet and the adoptive family to be very happy with each other.
