My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:1/16/2024

Description:

Sakura is a young momma who is ready to start a life focused on her. She is very easy to please and takes life in stride. Sakura's gentle and mellow temperament makes her a wonderful companion for those seeking a calm and soothing presence. She has the cutest little bobtail. We do not know if she was born this way or it was done to her intentionally. Either way, it causes her no issues. Watching her with her kittens is so sweet and they all inherited her darling personality. Sakura has not been around other cats in her foster home because momma cats are protective of their kittens, so we are unsure how she will do with other cats. She should be fine with young, friendly kittens or even by herself. Don't delay, put in your application today!

Words to Describe Me: Sweet, easy-going, churdles at you like a typical Siamese.

Favorite Toy: Wands and laser pointer.

Kitty's Likes: Being pet under the chin or on her back.

Kitty's Dislikes: Nothing has been noticed.

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Pet her under her chin.

Other Info: Sakura prefers a high sided, extra large litter box or a top entry litterbox.

  • Good with Cats: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met another cat.).

  • Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any dogs.)

  • Good with Children: Can live with children over the age of 8.

  • Companion Animal: Not necessary.

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Sakura  tested positive for    FeLV        therefore she would need to be in a home with other FeLV kitties (or adopt one of the other FeLV kitties in the rescue) or she can be your one and only girl.  Saving One Life will provide veterinary care throughout this feline's life.

Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match. Applications can be submitted on our website at  www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply.

Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
