My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lexi
Domestic Shorthair, Born in June 2023, Brown Tabby, Spayed female

Hi there, I'm Lexi, and I'm ready to find my furever home! I'm a grateful gorgeous cat with a big personality and a heart full of love. I was rescued with my litter of 6 kittens and had the opportunity to raise my little ones in the comfort of a wonderful foster home. My babies are on their way to finding their furever homes, and I'm on the same path.

When I see you, I’ll be the first to greet you with a friendly meow and a little nuzzle. I’m all about action and adventure—I love to play with lasers, track balls, and anything I can bat around on the floor. If you’re up for some fun, I’m your girl!

I'm also a big fan of cuddles. I love sitting on laps, being picked up, and getting all the pets and brushing you can offer. I might get a little “hangry” if I miss a meal, but who doesn’t, right? Just make sure to keep an eye on me when you’re heading out the door—I love being with my people so much that I might try to sneak out with you!

I’m curious about other cats and eager to meet them, though I might need a little coaching to give them space at first. I haven’t had the chance to meet children yet, so I’m not sure how I’d do with them, but I’m always up for new friends.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion who’s always happy to see you, I’m the perfect match. Let’s meet up at the adoption center—I can’t wait to find my new family!

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
