My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Ohio

Frankie is a pint sized love bug! She is currently 23 pounds and will mature at 30 pounds. She’s medium energy, loves a good run around the yard and is doing great as a running partner. She loves hiking and exploring. Frankie is very smart and is learning basic commands already. She is highly food motivated. She is house trained as long as she is on a schedule. She is crate trained. She will play by herself with her toys. Frankie LOVES children! She is very friendly. She plays well with her foster sibling, a male. Frankie has a natural birding instinct and could be a birding dog with proper training. She rides quietly in the car. She was an excellent patient at the vet’s office. She is scheduled to be spayed along with microchipping on Oct. 1st. She is up to date with all her puppy vaccinations and is taking flea/tick/heartworm medication. Frankie will make an excellent family dog.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
