Meet our sweet and lovable Slate!
With a heart full of joy and an undeniable playful spirit, Slate is the perfect companion for both her furry siblings and her human family. This little bundle of sunshine loves to spend her days basking in the sun with her sisters, or jumping around and chasing a ball, always spreading happiness wherever she goes.
Slate is a 10 week old, bluetick hound mix who is curious and very smart with the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly charm. She’s a true goofball who enjoys chewing on her toys, playing with her siblings, and showing off her playful side. But when the day winds down, Slate turns into the ultimate cuddler, ready to curl up with her favorite humans and shower them with love.
Traveling is a breeze with Slate, as she enjoys car rides and settles in comfortably at night. She is already crate-trained and working on perfecting her house training skills. With her affectionate nature and joyful personality, she’ll fit right in with any loving home that can give her the attention and care she deserves.Slate is looking for a forever home with a fenced yard for off-leash playtime, and she would thrive with an active and playful companion.

Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.

Interview

If your application is approved, our adoption coordinator will call to discuss the dog and answer any questions you have about the process.

Home Check

We complete home checks & contact your previous/current vet clinics to ensure your pets are up to date on vaccinations & are spayed/neutered

4.
Meet the Pet

The meet typically occurs at the foster home, but from time to time we encourage meets at the adopters home. We allow 45 mintues for a meet.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees can be paid on our website and are, puppies $350-$400 young:$300-$350 adult: $250-$300 senior: $200-$250

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption agreement is sent via docusign. Records and microchip registration are also sent by email after the adoption is finalized.

7.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs receive spay/neuter, vaccinations appropriate for age, heart worm/flea prevention at intake and every 30 days while in our care, dewormer, heart worm test (if 7mo of age or older) & microchip prior to adoption. Home visits and vet references will be performed prior to adoption. Fenced yards and single family homes are required for most of our dogs.

Thank you for your interest in one of our rescue dogs! We do not have an adoption facility; all of our available dogs are in foster homes throughout north metro Atlanta. To schedule a meet-n-greet, an adoption application must be submitted and approved. The adoption application is available on our website ruffredemption.org The adoption process typically takes one to two weeks and includes a detailed application, phone interview, home visit, and vet reference.
