Marni ~5 months old. Good with older, considerate kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Requires a companion animal and fenced yard.
GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.
Marni is a calmer, bigger version of her sister, Tia. She loves to play with other dogs, and gets super excited when they run because a good game of chase is her happy place! Marni will likely be 60+lbs as an adult. Marni may be a dominant female as she matures and will not be placed in a home with other female dogs. She’s working hard on potty training while free roam. She is consistently keeping her crate dry at night and will go potty when she notices it’s time to come inside. Marni loves people, will jump to get the attention she feels like she deserves but corrects well. She takes treats gently and is very food motivated. Leash training will start after her next round of vaccines. She’s a good alert barker so no need to worry about strangers coming into your yard unannounced. Please note Marni and Tia will NOT be adopted into the same home. These girls need families of their own to let their own personalities shine. Marni would do best with a family who has another active, physical player dog and a fenced yard. A family member home more often than not is preferred so that she’s not crated during a regular work day every day.
PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under 8 years old.
