My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Checkers is a great little dog. He is only 11 pounds and about 5 years of age. This dog has not had a very cushy life before he arrived. He was living outside with other dogs and was never allowed in the house. He does get along well with other dogs and was around children 5 and older. He is afraid of cats. We would love to find this boy a loving home where he is allowed to be part of a family and not just left out in the elements. He deserves better. Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must complete an adoption application found at our website, www.petsnpals.org. Our fees are based on the cost of spaying or neutering. The price ranges from approximately $100 to $350 per dog and $125 per cat/kitten.

We are located at 12488 S. Harlan Road in Lathrop, California. We are open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are open by appointment only.

More about this shelter

Pets & Pals has been serving the community for over 20 years. We are a no-kill shelter. Our facility is extremely clean and well managed. The dogs are allowed to get out of their cages daily on a rotating basis to play in our outdoor areas complete with swimming pools!
