Hi, I'm Kalahari! My foster mom has started giving me a bunch of nicknames though: Kali, Kali Girl, Calamari - does she even know my name?
I've only been at my new foster home for a couple days so I was a little timid at first & took a bit of patience to get to know, but once I warm up to you, I'm a snuggly girl who loves belly rubs! I usually try to squeeze myself into the smalllllllest crevices for a hug, like under your arm or between your legs. If you're lucky, you'll even get to see my silly butt wiggle when I get excited about my food, going for walks, or saying good morning after a nice nighttime snooze in my crate. You should see my cute teeth when I smile and my curly Q tail too :)
At first, I didn't seem super interested in toys, but THEN I saw one of those fuzzy green tennis balls...that's when I started to show more of my playful side! When I'm not playing fetch, I'm content with napping by your side.
On walks, I still need some leash training since I pull & whine a little at the sight of other pups. I may be petite, but I'm a strong girl! It's just because I want to play though - I apparently used to live with other dogs as playmates. However, I'm not picky about outdoor places to use the bathroom (the sidewalk will do just fine AND I'm potty-trained), and I seem to take well to being told I'm a good girl! Treats help too, of course.
Can't wait to find my furever home! Could that be with you?
