My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Bugsy and I am a happy-go-lucky guy. I to play and I love everybody!! I was abandoned, but as luck would have it, I managed to find the end of the rainbow, with a nice family that took me in from the cold. Talk about a pot of gold!! Nothing beats a warm bed, plenty of food and lots of love!! There are a couple of other cats here, and I do play with one of them, but the other one, well, she is really not happy I am here. As much as these great people love me, they want me to have a nice home of my own. So, here I am! I am a very social guy, I like people of all ages. I have enjoyed my outdoor time, but to be honest, there are cats out there that are NOT very nice to me, so, maybe, some chaperoned time outside - like if you like to garden, I could supervise. A catio would be great too, fresh air and safety. My current people think that I might do well with a dog. Not to big and definately not a puppy. That might be good, especially I would have company if you have one of those job things. I will be brought current on vaccines and microchipped as a part of the adoption process, and I am very good with my litterbox.November 5, 2024, 12:47 pm

More about this rescue

Founded in 1993, Second Chance Companions is a 501(c) 3 non-profit pet organization dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area.

We are a humane, no-kill organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.

Although we do not run an independent shelter, we feed, care for, adopt out, and spay & neuter as many animals as possible. In addition, we educate the community and are always seeking volunteers and resources that help us to accomplish our mission.

We have a small number of foster homes available, but also work with private owners who keep their pets while looking for homes for them.
