My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Rey, I was adopted with my mom, Leia when life was simple - Our human Mom, Dad and human sister. Well we got another human sibling, things got pretty busy - newborns humans are demanding and as they get more mobile, they've gotten to be too much for Leia and me. We are very bonded, and would love a home where we can be together. We can keep each other company if you have one of those job things. Our mom knows how unhappy we are and she promised that she would work with SCC to help us find a quieter home environment where we can be together. Admittedly, we'd would probably be better with older cat-respecting kids. I can be a bit timid and startle easy and the young ones can be kinda noisy and sometimes they pet like they pick up Cheerios. We don't have any dog experience, so we can skip that. We have lived an indoor only home and that suits us fine. A perch by the window where we can watch the birds and squirrels go by would be great! I am current on my vaccines and microchipped.November 5, 2024, 12:47 pm

More about this rescue

Founded in 1993, Second Chance Companions is a 501(c) 3 non-profit pet organization dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area.

We are a humane, no-kill organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.

Although we do not run an independent shelter, we feed, care for, adopt out, and spay & neuter as many animals as possible. In addition, we educate the community and are always seeking volunteers and resources that help us to accomplish our mission.

We have a small number of foster homes available, but also work with private owners who keep their pets while looking for homes for them.
