Teddy (ID#: A070140): Teddy is a neutered male, charcoal gray Akita believed to be about 11 months old. He has been at the shelter since August 3rd, 2024. Teddy came to the shelter very young and energetic, leading to stress in a kennel environment. He is currently at a foster home, but the foster is unable to keep him anymore. There is no space for him to come back to the shelter. While at the foster home, he has been crate trained, potty trained, learned to use a doggie dog, and learned to live with 3 other dogs. He also successfully graduated from PetSmart’s 6 week basic training and knows sit, down, leave it, shake, and other simple commands. He loves to go for walks and go for car rides. Common to his breed, he does resource guard and can be destructive when left alone for too long. He is still a puppy, learning discipline and routine, and how to be a dog. An adopter with experience with the Akita breed would be best for Teddy.
