Mia & Loki are a mother and son duo who are inseparable. Mia is a 5 year old, 40 lbs purebred Aussie with enough sass to keep you laughing. She’s apprehensive towards men and other pets but once she warms up, she’s incredibly sweet and protective. She loves kids, attention, and is pretty demanding when she wants her belly rubbed. Mia is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.
Loki is 3 years old and weighs 35 lbs. He is Mia’s first born and he shares the same love for children that Mia does. He’s very sweet and playful with everyone and loves to play with other dogs. Loki is vaccinated and microchipped.
Both mother and son are house trained and do well at communicating when they need to go out. Loki gets slightly car sick but overall, both enjoy giving hugs, cuddles, car rides, swimming, and creating funny mischief on their own.”
We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing.
The adoption fees are $275 for Mia and Loki is $500, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption.

Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based on Long Island NY. We rescue dogs and puppies who are at risk of being euthanized in high-kill facilities across the South. Every animal we rescue is quarantined where they get vaccinated and given any medical attention needed to get them healthy. We then transport the animals up to NY where they go into our wonderful foster homes until we find them all pre screened loving forever homes. We will adopt out-of-state on a case by case basis, including, but not limited to, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania.
Our goal is to find the best possible homes for our animals, to ensure a life-long loving commitment. We are dedicated to the well-being of our animals. One by One until there are none!
