Zoe came to us from a shelter where we were told she entered with 10 week old puppies and another dog, presumed to be the Papa. Well, the other dog was a girl and just over a week with us, we suspected she was pregnant. Turns out she was so those were not her babies and we got an unexpected litter a few days later. She's young and likely got pregnant her first heat so had no clue what was happening when she whelped. Thank goodness, she got the hang of Mama duties within the first week and did great. Now it's her turn to be someone's baby and to make a lifelong commitment to her! She's a little shy but very sweet! She will follow you around like a shadow. She still has things to learn (we don't work on much of anything while they're on Mama duty). Someone really needs to be around most of the time, at least to start with to acclimate her to a new home. She still won't walk on leash so a securely fenced yard is mandatory for her to stay safe. She was guarded with a large dog when she was pregnant and we didn't know it so she may do best in a home with no large dogs. She's fine with small dogs.
Who make this girl their girl???
Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.
