Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I found Chester outside, hanging around my complex. He used to cry extremely loudly and near constantly until someone would come sit with him and pet or feed him.
Fixed but not ear tipped and extremely emaciated, yet friendly toward humans, I assumed he was abandoned. The maintinence man said he believed he had seen him in another unit years back, and it’s likely someone turned him loose or left him.
I fed him here and there and regularly loved on him. At least a couple other people in my apartment complex also feed him occasionally. He also appeared to have a severe flea allergy, considering the bald patches and scabs which closely resembled those that a previous cat of mine had when it had a flea allergy, but those have since healed after treatment.
I can't keep him considering I have 2 other cats and can’t comfortably afford a third. However, he is vaccinated and reaching a healthy weight now. The vet says he’s about 7 y/o and has a bit of arthritis. But he’s sweet as can be.
