Dog's Name: Nathan (NAT0924MCTMN)
Estimated Breed: Schnauzer / Terrier MIX
Approximate Age: ~6 years
Approximate Weight: 15 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Nathan is a sweetie that made his way to our area from TN after being surrendered to a shelter. He landed in a wonderful foster who says he is incredibly sweet and loving! Nathan is well behaved with other dogs, children, on walks, etc...but does need a little refresher in the housetraining department. He is low key and easy going, very friendly to everyone he meets. The foster has had them around children and said he was perfect the whole time! Previous foster dad lives in a condo and said he don't mind the busy areas or the elevators. This guy has plenty of love and life left to share with the perfect home.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
