This helps Paws in Middle Georgia Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Using the book The Girls in the Stilt House as inspiration, these babies were named after some of the main characters and setting of the story.
Teensy was one of the smallest kittens of the bunch (her brother Curtis was the smallest) arriving at 14oz. Lots of snuggles, syringe feeding, and care have brought this girls weight up. Her siblings are outpacing her but its OK. She’s just teensy for her age.
Teensy has become a little spitfire. With the weight, is coming energy and she loves to race around with the rest of the crew. She jumps, wrestles, chases, and runs doing her best to keep up. She really likes the tunnels with the crunchy material in it so it makes sounds when she races through. She also likes the little robot with the stick toy that spins around for her to swat at.
She really wants to be a lovebug, but she’s so nosy she can’t help but get back down to see. She sits at your feet meowing to get picked up and then just as quick wants to get back to the action. Like her sister Ada, she rubs against your ankles and wags her tail. Once she’s tuckered out, she finds a quiet, out of the way spot to snooze. That’s also the time you can scoop her up and get her lil purr going. She’ll lay with you and nap. Because she’s so small, the foster will put her and Curtis on her arm and they will get their zzzz’s.
Teensy and her siblings have been raised in a home with a big ol staffie. Even though they are only about the size of his snout, they rush up to the wire to sniff him back and say hello. They've also tolerated the boxer trying to play with their itty bitty selves.
