My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Copperfield!

Copperfield was brought into San Jacinto Shelter as a stray with foxtails in between his toes and in his eyes. The shelter shaved down his hair to help him be more comfortable. He is around 10 years old and weighs 6 lbs.

On September 26th, the day Copperfield became a Frosted Face, the volunteer who did his freedom ride offered to his foster him. We are so glad he is getting extra love and care in the comforts of a home!

His foster mom reports:

"Copperfield is a fun little poodle dude. Some basic stats so far:

* He is cat friendly.
* Good eater! Kibble with a little water. Likes chicken too. Picky about treats.
* Likes to sleep and sit near you. Bonds quickly.
* Playful. Likes small stuffed toys and extra small tennis ball. Plays with my dogs.
* He is a good walker, likes riding in a stroller, and doesn't mind being carried.

A few things to note:
* He doesn't like being in a crate. He'll settle after 10-15 minutes but it doesn't seem familiar or soothing to him.
* At 6lbs and so tiny, he's self protective. I would guess that a home with respectful teens and older would be best.
* Exhibits some separation anxiety. I'd like to set a camera up and see if he settles after 10-15 minutes. He does better with my dogs as buddies in the office with him.

Copperfield is even cuter in person than in photos. Wait til that hair grows back!'

We require that interested applicants fill out our application. A screener follows up via email to schedule a home inspection, meanwhile calling references.

Upon approval, it is required you come to Frosted Faces Foundation with all members of the family and your dogs to choose a Frosted Face.
