You’d never believe Maggey is 12 years old if you met her – this beautiful Poodle girl still has SO much pep in her step and she LOVES to play! You’ll find that Maggey loves people – she will run right up to new people and start making friends. If you're lucky, she might show you just how much she loves you with a lick on the nose, too!

Maggey is an easygoing gal and she’s got brains as well as beauty! She’s very treat motivated and loves her snacks - being a good listener makes her easy to train! She is a dream to walk on a leash, too.

Maggey is mostly housetrained – she has only had a couple of accidents in her new foster home, probably because she had a doggie door in her old home. Sometimes she’ll give a little bark to let you know it’s time to go outside. Not being a fan of the crate, you’ll find that Maggey doesn’t need to be crated when you aren’t home as she’s very well behaved in the house.

In her previous home, Maggey lived with dogs and she currently gets along well with her foster sibling. She can occasionally be leash reactive but she is fine with dogs when she’s off her leash. As for cats, she has had no exposure to them.

Maggey’s ideal home would be a single family house with a fenced in yard as Maggey loves to investigate and elevators maker her nervous. Maggey is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines - she's move in ready!

The first step is to submit an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org. Volunteers will process your application. Please be patient!

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another.
