Meet Skittle, the cutest boy who reminds us of a yellow lab! He even has the personality of a lab: super sweet, cuddly, loving, and ready to have some fun with his people! He`s been an absolute doll in the shelter, and plays well with other dogs. He will make a devoted companion and deserves to thrive in a loving home. We`re not sure how he ended up in the shelter but someone will be lucky to scoop him up and call him theirs! Come adopt him today before someone beats you to him!

We have many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, DeKalb County Animal Services provides a humane environment for DeKalb County’s homeless pets. We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination, and other lifesaving programs.
