Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This sweet boy was named Riddle because we do not know much about his background. He was an intake at DACC but where did he come from? How did his pelvis get broken in 2 places? How is it possible for him to be so sweet and trusting despite it all?
Riddle is a very rambunctious young lad! He is a very loving goofball, who loves to play and cuddle. He is a high energy cat so he will do best in a household with a playmate and/or lots of people. He does well with other cats (he might play a little rough at times for a calmer cat though) and dogs. He's been great around children and would be a phenomenal family cat! He does love to climb and tuck away in little areas; he just loves to play hide-n-seek.
Riddles foster mom highly encourage anyone who adopts this handsome boy to get a cat tree tower and lots of scratching posts and pads, he is great at utilizing all of those for his energy needs.
In his foster home, his foster mom did test the waters with walking shelves and wall pegs and let's just say this guy would benefit well from a play wall or climbing corner.
Despite his injuries, he is now a very agile cat - just has a little tight walk due to his hips. One break has repaired and one is a permanent displacement but that will not stop Riddle from living out his best life. He currently is taking hip and joint bone supplements to encourage good maintenance and growth.
If you want someone to join your family, or if your kitty/dog is in desperate need of a playmate - please consider this little guy! His best friend is currently a 43 lb pittie mix named Dublin!
Riddle is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
