REDUCED ADOPTION FEE!
RORY is such an absolute sweetheart! Poor guy looks like a bit of a ragamuffin, with his poor tattered ears, but you should have seen how bad a shape he was in when he first came in! He was abandoned on the Torrington streets, and the outside cats were beating him up terribly! That is probably why he is also FIV+. Thankfully, one of our amazing volunteers rescued him, and also Niko, another FIV+ kitty, who looks so similar that we think they are related.

Being FIV+ scares a lot of people, but FIV really isn't scary at all!
FIV is not contagious to humans or dogs. It does not mean the cat is sick. It's an immune system deficiency. If an FIV+ cat is kept inside where they aren't exposed to disease and they get routine vet care, they will likely live long, normal lives. We do recommend that Rory be the only cat or with another FIV + cat friend. RORY deserves a safe, loving home after all he has been through. It wasn't his fault his humans failed him .
RORY is currently in foster home, so please make an appointment if you would like to meet him, so we can bring him in.

ADOPTION HOURS: Adoptions are still being done BY APPOINTMENT Wednesday through Sunday 1pm - 4pm, for pre-approved adopters only.
