My parents have an elderly dog whom they can no longer care for. My dad has dementia and it’s just too much stress for my mom to care for them both. Some background about rascal. We think he’s a hairless chihuahua/mexican color mix, & about 11. He is losing his vision but still manages to get around, does good with the potty as long as someone takes him outside, loves to cuddles and is very affectionate. He was my uncles dog, but then my uncle was in a bad accident and was in the hospital for months so my grandparents took him in. They’ve both since passed and he came to live with my parents. Now it’s just becoming too hard for my parents to care for him. My mom mentioned putting him down but we’re trying to rehome first since he so lovable.
