He`s a social butterfly, thriving on companionship and always ready to make new friends and never wanting to be alone. Cuddly and affectionate, Tyson has an innate ability to form strong bonds, offering a love that`s pure and unconditional. His lovable nature will surely brighten up your days and fill your home with joy. He`s a bit rough around the edges when it comes to playing with other dogs and children, and he has a penchant for chewing. But don`t let that deter you. With patience, guidance, and a loving environment, Tyson can learn to channel his energy in a positive way. Because he was too nippy with young children in a previous home, he`ll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. He`ll also need your guidance with leash walking and house training. On the plus side, he won`t run away if he is off leash! He was given up because his family`s HOA did not allow his breed in the neighborhood. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
