Meet Wally! This 3-year-young, 26 lb, Labrador Retriever mix is the whole package - sweet, funny, smart, energetic, and playful. Wally thrives with space to run, so a fenced backyard would be ideal for this energetic pooch. He's treat-motivated and takes treats gently, making training enjoyable and rewarding. Wally is making great strides in perfecting his leash manners, though he could still use a bit more practice to be his best self! Although he can be a bit wary at first with new people, a couple of treats will quickly win him over, revealing his affectionate and loving nature. Wally is ready to find his forever home where he can share his joyful spirit! If you are interested in meeting Wally, please complete a Dog Adoption Interest form; an adoption counselor will contact you to answer any questions and schedule an appointment.

Adopters can meet our animals 7 days per week at our Sayreville, NJ facility. All adopters are asked to fill out an adoption application survey to find their perfect match. Surveys can be filled out in person at the shelter, or through our online form. All pets are spayed/neutered and receive age-appropriate vaccinations before going home. Adoption fees are $125 for cats and $250 for dogs.

We are located directly adjacent to the Sayrebrook Animal Hospital. Our hours of operation are:

Mon through Fri - 4:30PM to 7PM
Sat and Sun - 11AM to 4PM

Sammy's Hope Animal Welfare & Adoption Center is privately-operated animal shelter, staffed and supported by volunteers, that helps care for and find Forever Homes for homeless animals. We work with local NJ municipal animal shelters to help alleviate their overcrowding and find homeless pets their Forever Families.
