My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET SHEBA #2!!!

Sheba is a sweet girls that was saved from the euthanasia list due to kennel deterioration and has been living in a foster home since then. She is ready to find her forever family. Sheba is very loyal and committed to her people and interested in everything they are doing at all times! She is incredibly smart and food motivated. She already knows sit and wait and is eager to learn more. She is currently working on her leash skills.

Sheba is house trained and crate trained. She loves playing in water and fetch. She has been good with both large and small dogs, as well as cats. She is good with kids, but she might be best with kids 10 years old and older due to her large size and love of playing. She loves everyone she meets and is just a big, goofy love bug! Sheba would thrive in an active home either with another dog to play with or as an only dog with an active family committed to ensuring she gets regular exercise. Meet Sheba today!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Go meet their pets

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
