For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Little Carri, about 1.5 years old, found herself with us after her previous owner fell and broke their hip, making it impossible to care for such a lively, energetic pup. Carri is the definition of spunky. She’s always on the move, always ready for the next game, and full of playful energy that will keep you on your toes!
Carri does well with other dogs and loves to run and play, but she can be a little nervous when meeting new people. She’s not the type to run up and greet you right away—she likes to take her time, get a feel for you, and then, once she’s sure, you’ve got a new best friend. The key to Carri’s heart? Treats. Big surprise, right? But it’s not just food that gets her to warm up—she really responds to soft words and gentle pets on the head. Once she knows you’re kind, that playful exterior melts, and you’ll see her sweet, affectionate side.
Carri would be best suited for an active owner or family who loves adventure and will take her along for the ride. She needs someone who can keep her engaged, both mentally and physically. Whether it’s going on long walks, throwing the ball around the yard, or working on fun new tricks, Carri thrives when she’s got something to do.
If you're looking for a pup who will bring some excitement and fun to your life, Carri could be your perfect match! Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
