Jack (A136028) is a 1-year-old AK Husky who weighed 70.5 pounds on intake!

09/25/24 This long-legged boy is Jack! Jack is a bundle of energy, and his prior owner did not find him to be a right fit for their home. They felt strongly that Jack would appreciate a more physically active home or possibly being a part of a rec sled dog team! Jack was known to escape fences but was said to stick nearby and look for his people. He should be supervised when in a fenced in yard. He was also known to be a digger when outside. Jack knows a few basic commands like sit and spin. He was said to be very playful and loves playing with other dogs. He has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any new friends. If you have smaller critters around, keep in mind that huskies are known for having a high prey drive. Jack does like to jump on people out of excitement and does not understand his size. We encourage his next owner to work with a certified trainer to improve his manners!
