My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At one yr, under 5 lbs already neutered, sweet Rocket was a puppymill dog. We don't know his story or what he endured or why he was in there so long. We can only guess that he was going to or was used to be a stud dog. He's not a typical Chih, he's shy and friendly, with the typical bossy chih hidden for now.... but it's in there! He gets the zoomies so there's still so much puppy in him! Not trained in anyway, I would recommend a belly band so he can learn potty training. He also he would definitely be considered a flight risk and needs a fenced yard. Although he really is charming once he warms up, the untrust of people kicks in his flight mode. Despite his life being isolated,he appears to be happy and healthy. He was just neutered and needs a family that understands puppymill dogs need more time to adjust than normal dog He would love nothing more than to cuddle under some covers with his favorite human companion this fall! Please give Rocket a chance. His adoption fee of 500 includes the following He is fully vaccinated with rabies and bordatella. he's microchipped has his health certificate . He's on flea and tick and heartworm prevention and already altered. Please visit our website www.thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

More about this rescue

The Charlie Project Dog Rescue is named after a jolly Pomeranian who was supposed to be a stud dog for a breeding facility who seemed to large for them at 10 lbs. He was lucky to be saved but from the time he was a pup he suffered with grade 4 Patellas, collapsed trachea, heart murmur etc These are inherited traits that good breeders would screen out, the business of mass breeding doesn't care. My goal is for every dog regardless of being an undesirable one, deserves a home
