My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Michelle (dogzinneed@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.

Meet Odie, a gorgeous 1-year old shepherd mix rescued from a high kill shelter in San Bernadino, CA. Odie is an incredibly sweet, affectionate and docile dog. He was very frightened in the shelter, but has adjusted beautifully since being in foster care. Odie is easy-going and gentle, but still has his puppy energy. His temperament is a perfect mix of independent, but also affectionate. Odie can be timid and hesitant at first, but then loves being pet and cuddled. He adores his toys and running around in the dog park, and has a beautiful light-on-his-feet gait. Sometimes when he's tired, his tongue sticks out of his mouth in the most adorable way.

Odie is truly a great dog and deserves a wonderful home. He would make a great family dog or companion for anyone.  Odie is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and house trained.

Please contact Michelle at dogzinneed@yahoo.com or (760) 390-8973 to learn more about Odie!

More about this rescue

My name is Michelle Johnson. I have been doing animal rescue (and disaster work with animals) for over 20 years. I have always loved animals, and when growing up I always had a dog. I know what joy it adds to your life to have a pet. I have a firm belief in God and that he gives each of us a special "Gift". I beleive mine is to be responsible for the pets, whose owners are not. I take this responsibility, very seriously. I am grateful to be able to help these dogs. and will continue to do so for as long as I can!! If there is Dog in Need, I will always do my best to help it.
