My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable meatball is GIBLET and we are smitten💙
Arriving as a stray, we are estimating him to be around 5 years young. He's a very well socialized guy who is very wiggly and friendly.

GIBLET did really well during his evaluation. He is doggie friendly and we think he'd be fine in a home with bigger kids too✅ He knows some commands and loves to go for hikes! He's on the schedule to be neutered soon and he will then be ready to wiggle his butt right out the front door💙

If you'd like to meet him, we are open for meet and greets daily between 12 - 4:30. Come by! If you need to do a dog meet, please reach out to schedule. We can't wait to meet the lucky family who will adopt this block-headed lover boy!!!!

More about this shelter

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.

Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
