I am a 3 year old Siberian Husky Mix who found her way to the shelter because my previous home was not good to me. Animal Control is my hero and now I have found myself at the shelter where I am loved and cared for. I was previously in a foster home to give me time to heal. There I lived with cats as well as in my previous home.andlt;br/andgt;Slow and controlled introductions will be needed in the home, but I believe I was victorious in the past with cats. I am shy, but very sweet and each day I learn more about myself and become more brave and confident. Time, patience and love is all I require from you and your family. As I continue on my journey of healing and self discovery, I would love to have a real home and family to do it with. Come ask to meet me, Spirit. Hours:
Monday - Tuesday (by appointment only) | 11 am - 6 pm
Wednesday - Friday | 12 pm - 7 pm
Saturday - Sunday | 11am - 7pm

Please note that we operate by first come, first serve along with adoption approval. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day.

We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19.

Adoption Requirements:
- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.
- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.
- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 12-7PM. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only.

-We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption.
-Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18.
-Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Disposable masks are available upon request.
