UPDATE: Rum Tum is now COMPLETELY adjusted to the good life! He is good with the other cats in foster home but can bully the senior male cat. He LOVES attention and affection. He even gets along with the resident dogs! He is a great napper and he enjoys being in bed with you at night. The cat tree is his place of choice if he can’t be near you. He doesn’t like being picked up but tolerates it well. He even allows hugs and snuggles! Not recommended for a home with a lot of activity or small children. He will warn first, but if you don’t listen will make his preferences known.

Depending on experience and willingness to work with current foster will depend on if he can go to a home. RumTum needs a home with no kids. He's about 8 years young and most likely was a house cat in his earlier years. He wants to be pet and loved but after being on the streets so long not quite sure how to deal with it yet. He is a big guy with the most adorable puffy cheeks and huge feet! He has so much potential and would have to be allowed to adjust in slower steps. Raving reviews from vet staff at visits but did hold grudge against foster for a while after taking him! Patience and kindness will bring out the best in this big guy. The bond after working with these cats is like nothing you've ever experienced and so rewarding. Adopter must live within half hour of Middletown, NJ. Do you love cats? Are you willing to learn and invest time to gain trust for a life time of love? This guy just might be for you. If you think he is, apply today.

We are a NJ nonprofit completely run by dedicated volunteers. We do everything possible to educate the public about the importance of neuter/spay, TNR to keep colonies under control, and find great homes for the adoptable pets in need. We work with our adopters after adoption to make sure both family members, human and furry, are happy and adjusted.
