Hi! I’m Baxter! Did my beautiful eyes and pretty coat catch your attention? I’m an old soul trapped in a puppy's body with my calm and mellow demeanor. When you first meet me I can come off as shy, but the more comfortable I get the more I let my sweet and goofy personality shine through. I’ve been working hard on my training to make sure I am the goodest of boys for my future family. Routines are great for me, I’m housebroken with regular scheduled potty breaks and crate trained while my foster family goes to work. My favorite activities include chewing on bones and slow walks where I can stick my nose to the ground and get all the smells. I’m enrolled in my local neighborhood watch, where I quietly observe all the birds through the window. I'm also really great at finding your socks, so you won’t have to worry about losing them ever again! My foster family has made sure I’m well-socialized, so I get along with people and dogs! I’ve been super gentle with all the neighborhood kiddos I’ve met. I think I would love a home that has a friendly, larger dog as I will be a big boy when I grow up! And a built-in playmate would be amazing! My foster brother has really helped me tap into my puppy side and is showing me how to be a dog. Most importantly I’m looking for a family that will scratch behind my ears, give me unconditional love, and a big comfy pillow to sleep on. I am still a young guy and a home with lots of love and patience and time to keep helping me work on my home life skills would be the BEST!
