My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grey is such a bro. Grey is a male American Staffordshire terrier that weighs 61 pounds. He is estimated to be 2 years old. Grey was found as a stray and no one claimed him. He was very thin upon intake and just plain sad. In the few weeks that he has been with us, he has eaten and gotten much needed TLC. He has gained some weight and is overall a body wiggle pro. He is very strong on leash and would benefit from general obedience and manners. He is a full upper body workout. He will work your core, shoulders, back and patience. His giant blockhead is almost as big as his heart. He is very loving and friendly. He loves to be outside. A fenced in yard is ideal for Grey. He has a medium energy level. Because he was a stray, we don’t know anything about Grey’s background. Compatibility with children, cats, and dogs is unknown; no small children please. At the shelter, he is unphased by the other dogs. As always, a meet and greet with your dog is required. Grey is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes vetting which includes neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing, and a microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Grey. Grey's adoption fee is $160. Grey is the type of dog that will gladly accompany you on the couch to watch movies. But when you get up to get a snack, you gotta find another spot to sit because he has taken over the whole couch. Such a bro. He can be adopted outside of Parma.

Additional adoption info

At Parma Animal Shelter, we do not adopt our animals out as gifts or surprises. We believe that adopting a pet is a significant commitment and should be a well-considered decision. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse any adoption to ensure the best match for both the animal and the adopter.

All of our animals are microchipped, tested for disease, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and internal parasites, and given lots of loving care during their stay with us. We are dedicated to meeting their medical needs and do our best to socialize them.

If you have questions about any of our cats, please feel free to email us at catadoptions@parmashelter.org. Our volunteers are more than happy to provide information about their personalities and any recommendations for the best home environment possible for each individual animal.

To start the adoption process, you can submit an application by visiting our website parmashelter.org. For cats, please use the following link: https://form.jotform.com/223634976258165. For dogs, questions can be directed to dogadoptions@parmashelter.org, and applications can be submitted here: https://form.jotform.com/230706749163055.

As we get to know our animals better, we will post updates on their behavior in the shelter to assist you in making an informed decision.

Thank you once again for your interest in our dogs and cats. We look forward to helping you find the perfect companion.
