** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day from 12pm-7pm. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.
***Othello and Brownie are bonded and need to go home together but only pay one adoption fee!
We have the cutest male piggies in the house. Othello and Brownie are the best. They are very nice pigs and are quite sweet. They have the most charming little squeals. They are bonded piggies who adore each other and need to stay together to be happy. They are just precious. Othello and Brownie had a home, but the owner could not take care of them anymore. In their previous home, Othello and Brownie enjoyed being social, but not always handled, and playing together. They also need a VERY LARGE space to be housed together. A piggy habitat that is larger than 7 feet will be needed for these busy boys. Guinea pigs are very active and playful, they always have fresh veggies and fruits, and they love toys. They like veggies, fruits, pellets and hay. Bananas, broccoli, celery, and carrots are yummies many piggies like too. Guinea pigs love large spaces to hang out, play and get some good naps. They also need proper chew toys as their teeth keep growing! They also have to get their nails trimmed periodically too. These neat pets do have unique housing, nutritional and set-up needs so be sure to ask our adoptions counselors how to get ready to bring Othello and Brownie home. Be sure to check out our guinea pig care video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Rez0X3-Ge0

More about this shelter
At the Humane Rescue Alliance, we honor more than 150 years of commitment to protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. HRA serves as a national leader and local champion for all animals.
LOCAL FOCUS
With a people-focused, community-based approach, we treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Through our five campuses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, we are the largest animal services provider in our region – touching the lives of tens of thousands of animals annually through direct rescue, care, and community-based services. Our teams find solutions to both small and big problems, from providing direct care to an animal in crisis to tackling systemic barriers to affordable, pet-friendly housing.
