Meet Louella: Your Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold!

Louella, a brave and spirited 2-year-old, has spent the last eight months on a wild adventure, navigating life on the run. Now, she’s ready for her next big journey—finding a loving home where she can finally settle down and learn what it’s like to be part of a family. With her friendly nature, she gets along great with both dogs and cats and is as sweet as they come!

After spending so long out in the world, Louella is looking for a home with a 6-foot privacy fence or someone who will keep her on a leash until she’s feeling secure. She’s an explorer at heart but is now ready to trade her solo travels for cozy nights and walks with her humans. She needs a patient, loving family to help her transition into indoor life and ensure she never has to run away again.

Louella’s journey has been filled with twists and turns, but now, with your help, she’s ready for the greatest adventure of all—finding her forever home! Will you be the one to give this sweet explorer a place to call her own?

Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.

We set up meet and greets rapidly with screened applicants!

Take the Pet Home

We answer all questions, and go through all known behaviors and medical history of the dog.

We offer sliding scale adoption fees to those below the poverty line, for all dogs over the age of 1.

Go meet their pets

We are at 3 Dogs 1 Cat in the Eastern Market district every Sunday from 11-2.
We are also at City Bark in downtown Detroit most Wednesdays from 4-7.
