My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mabel, a young beautiful ebony-coated cat with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to share it with. Her journey started as a skinny stray, but despite the odds, she found her way to safety—and decided to stay. Now, Mabel lives in a home with other animals, but deep down, she longs for a place where she can be the center of attention, without having to compete for affection.

Mabel is a little shy at first, but once she realizes you’re a safe and loving person, she’ll blossom into the most loyal and affectionate friend you could ever wish for. She’s not just looking for a home; she’s searching for a quiet sanctuary, where she can snuggle up with a human who understands her gentle spirit.

Mabel’s dream is to find a cat-savvy person who will cherish her for the special soul she is—no other pets, no small children, just a peaceful life filled with love and companionship. If you’re looking for a best friend who will love you unconditionally, Mabel is ready to fill that spot in your heart and home.

Mabel is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed. Applications can be found at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
