For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Campbell County Animal Shelter with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PHOEBE
Phoebe is a petite little miniature pincher, dachshund, hound mix. She is a shy little momma who loves treats! Phoebe has so much potential and is dying to show you but the shelter is very loud and makes her extremely nervous. She has a gorgeous chestnut colored short haired coat and she longs for attention. She is approximately 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds. Phoebe is very scared but if you go and sit down in her kennel she will come to you and learn to trust you immediately. She is extremely sweet and will crawl into your lap. So just imagine what she will be like in her forever home!! She is a perfect example of an animal that will be completely different in a permanent home. Phoebe is a dainty little lady and will need training on leash walking and basic skills. She was abandoned with three other dogs and was rescued by the Campbell County Animal Shelter. She is very attached to her companion, Santana (see his post on the Campbell County Animal Shelter's site). Phoebe needs an owner who will be patient with her and teach her she deserves to be loved, should have a nice fluffy bed and delicious food every day.
