"Mr. Photogenic" was transported from an overcrowded WV shelter. All 43 lbs. of "happy" is ready to welcome visitors so he can show his stuff. Estimated to be 4 years old, Alex is a medium size dog in the prime of his life who walks nicely on leash. From those who observed him at his previous shelter, Alex, it was said was good with kids. However an introduction to some very young kids did not turn out to be the best fit. Alex needs time to warm up to new people so it may be that Alex would do best with older, easier to redirect kids who will give Alex his space, but an adult only home is the ideal placement.
It was also observed that Alex gets along with several other dogs and has shown no reaction to cats. Interested in a doggie playmate, Alex does a lovely play bow to initiate fun with other dogs. Setting up a meet with an approved applicant’s dog would be required.
