Meet Smokie! She came in with her brother Leo (in case you're looking for a pair). She is very shy and will need patience to open back up. She lived in her previous home her whole life so this is a big shock for her. Her owners did describe her as friendly and affectionate but skittish. Any loud noises or quick movements while cause her to run away. She will cuddle up to you and become a lap cat. Only if you're as still as a statue though.
Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully.

All kitten adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age)
-current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-FeLV blood test
-microchip implanted & registered to the adopter
-treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
