My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lobo Xman, a delightful blend of a young Black Mouth Cur and Carolina Dog, born on June 10, 2024. Currently weighing in at a sprightly 30 pounds, Lobo Xman is expected to grow to about 40 pounds, making him a perfect medium-sized companion.

Personality

Lobo Xman is a bundle of joy, known for his goofy and happy demeanor. His playful nature is infectious, and he brings a smile to everyone he meets. Affectionate and loving, Lobo Xman thrives on human interaction and adores being around people and other dogs. He's the type of dog that brightens up any room with his presence.

Breed Information

Black Mouth Cur

Black Mouth Curs are known for their intelligence, energy, and loyalty. Originally bred in the Southern United States for herding and hunting, they are versatile working dogs. They are highly trainable and form strong bonds with their families.

Carolina Dog

The Carolina Dog, often referred to as the American Dingo, is a primitive breed with a strong survival instinct. They are intelligent, resourceful, and have a unique appearance with their golden coats and pointed ears. Carolina Dogs are known for being independent yet affectionate companions.

What to Expect When Adopting a Dog

Adopting a dog like Lobo Xman is a rewarding experience, but it comes with responsibilities:

  1. Training : Consistent training is essential. Lobo Xman is an intelligent dog who will benefit from early socialization and obedience training to channel his playful energy positively.
  2. Exercise : Both Black Mouth Curs and Carolina Dogs require regular exercise. Lobo Xman will need daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy.
  3. Socialization : Lobo Xman loves people and other dogs, so regular socialization is important for his development. Trips to the dog park or playdates with other dogs are great ways to enhance his social skills.
  4. Grooming : With a short coat, Lobo Xman's grooming needs are minimal. Regular brushing will keep his coat shiny and healthy, and routine checks for ticks or fleas are recommended.
  5. Healthcare : Routine veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and a balanced diet will ensure Lobo Xman stays in top health.

Adopting Lobo Xman means bringing home a loyal friend who will shower you with love and laughter. Are you ready to welcome this adorable mix into your life?

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
