My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ahoy, beach lovers! I'm Merritt Island, the sweetest kitty ready to bring a slice of tropical warmth into your life! Just like the beautiful shores of Florida, I'm all about relaxation and cuddles. With my extremely affectionate and snuggly nature, I'm here to turn your home into a cozy paradise. Whether you want a lap warmer during your downtime or a companion for your lazy afternoons, I'm your girl! My gentle purrs are like the soothing sound of ocean waves, and my loving nuzzles will make you feel like you're basking in the sun on a serene beach day. If you're ready for a little slice of island joy, come meet me, Merritt Island, and let's make waves together in the sea of love!

Merritt Island is FELV+! FeLV (feline leukemia) is a viral infection that affects the immune system and bone marrow. FELV is not contagious to humans or other animals, however, Merritt should be the only cat in her new home (or live with other FELV+ cats). Merritt is expected to live a perfectly happy, if slightly shorter life, and has so much love to give! A staff member is happy to answer any questions you may have.
