My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Daisy is a big personality in a small package, if you’re looking for snuggles, silly, and sass all in one she’s your kind of pup!

Daisy is a little shy up front but once she is comfortable she really loves her people and being played with and held, she especially loves to snuggle up right under your chin. As much as she loves to be held she loves playing equally as much! Daisy really loves other dogs no matter the size and is super friendly. She has very good boundaries with her little puppy teeth and plays great with bigger dogs. With her sister though she’s all in for a good wrestling match or tug of war with a squeaky toy!

Outside is especially fun for Daisy, she loves laying in the sun and chasing leaves. She is quite the little explorer and enjoys sniffing and discovering all the cool areas of her yard.

Daisy is doing fantastic at potty training. Although she sleeps in an xpen with her sister at night she holds her potty all night. During the day she goes outside regularly and if she does have an accident in the house it’s always on a pad. Her cues are pretty easy to read though and potty training has been great.

Daisy is estimated to be 10 weeks old and 7 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We only adopt out animals to homes within 60 miles of the Twin Cities. Our adoption process begins with the return of our pre-adoption form, available on our website. After reviewing your application a meeting is scheduled between you and the pup, sometimes in the fosters home or at a neutral dog friendly place. If any resident dogs are in your home, it is recommended that the pups meet at this time. After the meeting a home visit is scheduled and if everything goes well with the visit the adoption is finalized at that time. A home visit by one of Safe Hands representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pup will be living sometime during the adoption process.

Go meet their pets

Come on out and meet all of our great adoptable pups!! On weekends we have meetings at random locations. See our events page on our website or social media.

More about this rescue

Safe Hands is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters. Of great importance to us is to reduce the stray population and need for healthy animal euthanasia through spay/neuter programs, education, and promotion of respect for the furry creatures that share our lives.

We are a small, no-kill, volunteer run organization. All of our dogs listed are in foster homes waiting to be adopted and because of this, we get to know the dogs' personalities very well and use this information to match them to an appropriate home. We do not have a physical shelter.

This rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so it is dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. We have a great need for foster homes. If you are interested in providing foster care, and live within an hour of the Twin Cities, please e-mail us
Donations ALWAYS needed are: dog crates, puppy pee pads, natures miracle (for pet stain removal), Nutrisource brand puppy and dog food, Lysol disinfecting wipes, paper towels, large clean towels, dog toys, leashes, collars and gas cards to help with our transports.
