Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello. I am a three-month-old Monarch. Let me tell you the sad part first. My siblings and I were left at animal control in a box when it was raining. Brrr, we were so scared. Then some kind people took us inside, and then the good part. We got to go to the best foster home to grow big and strong.
Ok, I was asked to tell you a little about my siblings and me. My foster mom says she has had hundreds of foster kittens, but we are pretty much the busiest she has seen. We get so excited when we see her we sometimes climb her leg. We just want to get to her shoulder so we are closer to her ear to tell her we love her so, so much!! We also nibble just a bit to see if she tastes like chicken. She doesn`t, but she sometimes tastes like pizza.
Mom does not think we should go home as a single kitten because we would get bored easily without a playmate. A sibling, another kitten, or a young cat is best. Also, because we play just a bit rough, no small kids. We love toys, especially interactive electronic ones. We are smart and figure the toys out quickly. We love to eat Fancy Feast canned food. Mom says the water in it is good for us. We do have a snuggle side. Once tired, we love pets, snuggling, and sleeping in your lap.
If you want to adopt two of us or have another kitten already, please complete an online application.

TAPS-Tazewell Animal Protective Society was founded in 1958 in Pekin Illinois in a building donated by the City of Pekin on River Road. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
