Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Skylar is a pretty girl who's looking for a soft place to land. If you have a couch, she's got the time.
Skylar's not a fan of shelter life, so she takes a little time to unwind, but once she's relaxed she's quite the social butterfly. Once she knows you, she's a big fan of treats, petting and play - especially fetch.
She's a high-energy dog, so she needs long walks - hiking and jogging a plus - as well as the mental stimulation of puzzle toys and brain games. Her love of treats will make her a fun dog to train, and training is a great way to strengthen your bond with a new dog.
We'd like to see Skylar go to an adult-only home, where everyone in the household is at least eighteen years old-- she'd hate to knock anyone over mid-zoomies! We want to introduce her to everyone in the family here at the shelter, to help her put her best paw forward.
In the past Skylar lived happily with another dog, but she can be particular when meeting new dogs, so we'd also like to introduce her here to any dogs who are already part of the family. That way we can make intros low-stress. She also has cat experience, and slow intros will be a must if you have cats in the family. Ask your counselor for tips on how to handle at-home intros.
Could Skylar be the girl you've been waiting to find? Why not head on out to Lollypop Farm to meet her and our other available dogs? If you're looking for love, this is definitely the right place.

More about this shelter
Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.
Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.
Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
