My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tucker: Your Loyal and Loving Companion!

Hello there! Tucker here, ready to charm my way into your heart and home. I’m a 4 year-old, 38 lb, liver and white Brittany with a heart as big as my love for life. I am very talented at spotting those sneaky birds and squirrels and keeping them in line. Because of my keen eye, I need a 6-foot privacy fence to ensure I can patrol safely.

Why I’m Your Perfect Match:

  • Healthy and Handsome: I’m neutered, housebroken, and up-to-date on all my vaccines. Plus, I’m heartworm and tick negative and on prevention.
  • Friendly and Fun: I get along great with dogs and kids and basically love everyone I meet.
  • Affectionate: I love being super close to my humans. I’ll make sure you know just how much I adore you with every cuddle and wag of my tail.

My Dream Home:

  • A Secure Yard: With a 6-foot privacy fence (No Chain-link), I’ll have the perfect space to keep an eye on those pesky critters and play safely.
  • A Loving Family: I’m looking for a forever home where I’ll be loved, cuddled, and spoiled rotten. I promise to return every bit of love you give me tenfold.

From My Heart to Yours:

I’m more than just a pretty face—I’m a loyal friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, snuggling on the couch, or just being your constant companion, I’m ready to fill your life with joy and love.

If you’re ready for a handsome, loving, and fun-filled addition to your family, look no further. I am Tucker and I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventure together!

The adoption fee for TN/Tucker, who lives in Collierville, Tn,  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more wonderful Brittanys. If you are interested in making TN/Tucker part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.orgContact the TN Coordinator, Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or South Central Regional Coordinator, Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of TN/Tucker

Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.

More about this rescue

National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network (NBRAN), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a network of caring and dedicated volunteers who have a deep passion for dog rescue and specifically the homeless Brittany, affectionately called a "Britt."

There are currently about 60 dogs available for adoption. You can view all the dogs or search by specific attributes on our "Available for Adoption" page.

Adopting a pet pays you back ten fold. If you are not able to adopt, volunteers are always needed to help transport or foster a pet. You may also choose to donate to this effort on our Donate Now page. All donations are tax deductible!

Once called "the Brittany Spaniel," the AKC has officially changed their breed name to "the American Brittany." A Brittany retains a puppy-like quality in their personality and are gentle, clownish, active dogs. They are great family dogs.

The number of dogs available for adoption varies from month to month. Some of our available Britts or Britts in need are shown below.
