This helps Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven with pet care costs.
Are you patient and understanding? If so, I need you! I need a quiet home where I am the only pet or have kitten friends (I like kittens and they like me). I love to play with lasers, wand toys, toy mice, strings, and catnip toys. I love pets on my head and to chase toys! I was part of an overcrowding situation and I lived my first 6 months in a cage. I was afraid of everything. I am not mean or aggressive. I have a beautiful purr and love to sit next to people once I get to know them.
Here is how I will do best: Please start in a small room and block all hiding places. Get out the toys and play. Pet her head and she will soon become your best friend. Slowly introduce her to the rest of the home, playing with her regularly and doing your best to reduce hiding places. She will need time to trust you, but if you play with her, pet her, and protect her, she will come out of her shell quickly.
Background: She has been returned twice because another pet in the home has been mean to her or too wild and she would not come out of hiding. She spent the first 6 months of her life in a cage not understanding love or play or even how to jump up on a chair or cat tree. She has been in foster care since February 2022.
