Hi, my name is Dodge, and I'm a 1 year old good boy eagerly waiting for my forever family! I have fun running and taking long walks with my people. I lived with 2 dogs and 3 cats before going to a new home where their cats don’t accept me, so now I’m on the defense and I would rather live in a home with other dogs instead of cats.. My big bunny ears are a bonus feature that helps me listen when called from across the yard!

I love chew toys, sticks, and chasing tennis balls plus I’m good at entertaining myself with toys. However, I also love playing with other dogs and humans. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and I sleep in my crate at night. I am pretty dependent and love to be by my human's side! I know the commands “sit,” “stay,” “heel,” “down,” “paw,” and I’m working on “place.” I am even trained to walk on a loose leash. They do say I'm incredibly smart!

Some of my favorite things include car rides,  hikes, squishy toys, treats, hanging out with my humans, and getting all the rubs and scratches! I love to love on my humans, too! Some say I am quite the romantic, LOL! I am even good with children, but I still jump sometimes when my people get home (yes I’m working on it!) and for that reason, I would do best with kids over 8! I love playing with other dogs and slow introductions are the best way for me to feel safe and comfortable. I KNOW I’d love to be a dog park regular with you.

I would be your best work partner and I love riding shotgun! While you work, I will sit at your feet, not making a peep, and just be there for moral support! I would have so much fun with an outdoorsy, active family who are experienced dog owners! Ideally, my future home would have a fenced yard! I’ll make a great vacation buddy to the snow, beach, or really wherever and you can always count on me for love and affection. Can you give me the furever home I deserve?

Dodge has been DNA tested through Embark. These are the results: 48.1% American Pit Bull Terrier, 32.8% German Shepherd Dog, 12.7% Great Pyrenees, and 6.4% Labrador Retriever. He’s 100% goodest boy!

***DODGE IS FOSTERED IN MARYLAND, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transfer. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Dodge’s adoption fee is $200. This fee includes current basic vaccinations (parvo, distemper, bordetella, & rabies), deworming/fecal testing, microchip with lifetime registration, neuter, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

More about this rescue

Pep's Pals Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter & street dogs and cats then finding them forever homes. All dogs and cats deserve to live their lives showered with the love they deserve.
Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs & cats who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
